<p>Fantastic news for fans of the souls-like genre as well as console owners.</p>

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/deathbound/">Deathbound</a>, the upcoming soulslike title from Trialforge Studio, will also make its way to PlayStation and Xbox. The Brazil-based game-developing company announced that they will expand Deathbound to consoles. In particular, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.</p>

<p>"We’re thrilled to announce that Deathbound will be launching on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S day-in-date with PC," developers wrote on Steam.</p>

<p>TrialForge has also partnered with Polish publisher Tate Multimedia for the game's launch. A release date has yet to be revealed. <p>Deathbound promises to bring a new take in the souls-like genre. Instead of a single hero, players will have a team of four characters at their disposal.</p>

<p>"Our game was designed to be an innovation within the souls-like genre," developers said. "With this feature, you can change warriors from your party at any moment – even during combat and dodging," they added.</p>

<p>The game's lore takes place in the world of Ziêminal, where faith and science clash in a never-ending struggle. While in the middle of a crusade, players find themselves in the city of Akratya. There, they will uncover the story behind the seven Fallen Warriors, whom the players can take control.</p>

<p>According to developers, the key to victory during battles lies in the players' ability to assemble their party of Fallen Warriors. Deathbound's core gameplay revolves around strategic switching between these bound souls mid-combat. And each Fallen Warrior not only has unique combat styles, skills, but also motivations.</p> 

<p>Relationships among the Fallen Warriors can also influence gameplay, developers added.</p>

<p>"Each party member’s affiliation in life will affect their synergy in death," they said.</p>

<p>Sanuk Games announced its new bullet heaven game Whacking Hell! is coming to multi-platforms. The creators have confirmed a rollout for PlayStation, Switch, Xbox and PC.</p>

<p>In Whacking Hell, the gates of hell have opened. Players ‘whack’ the monsters before they are eliminated. Bolster the chance of survival by collecting souls and upgrading weapons and spells. Similar to games like Vampire Survivors, players eventually transform into a one-man army.</p> 

<p>Whacking Hell plays similarly to the multiawarded Vampire Survivors--one of the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/best/2022/">best Xbox Series X games in 2022</a>. Sanuk Games' bullet-hell shooter has a top down 2D camera and only by powering up their character can players rain  bullets on their enemies.</p> 

<p>There are 5 main characters to unlock. Each possesses their own unique loadouts to survive Hell’s army. In addition to that, a selection of 5 weapons adds a dynamic flow to its multi-chapter campaign.</p>

<p>Its 3 chapter structure contains dozens of waves of enemies. With a soundtrack from award-winning  Henri-Pierre Pellegrin, it ends with a blaring crescendo of powerful bosses to defeat. </p>

<p>Like its roguelite bullet-hell inspirations, Whacking Hell provides permanent upgrades. These power-ups increase the player's chance of survival in-between sessions.</p> 

<p>The game’s one-year development cycle polished the game according to player feedback. According to Sanuk Games, “It [also] involved pitching multiple publishers, but the present state of the industry is such that the game ends up being released by Sanuk Games itself, for better or worse – hopefully better!”</p>

<p>While the game is coming to consoles this year, Whacking Hell only has a confirmed release date on PC. It's set to release soon on PC via Steam on June 14, 2024.</p>

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/bleak-faith-forsaken/">Bleak Faith: Forsaken</a> is getting another major update a year after its debut. And this time, it's intended for console players.</p>

<p>Archangel Studios revealed that a console port of the souls-like <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/rpg/">RPG</a> is underway. The indie devteam made this announcement in a 55-second trailer they dropped on May 15th, 2024. The port expansion will include PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Release dates for the console versions of Bleak Faith: Forsaken have yet to be revealed.</p>

Prior to its release, the three-man team of Archangel promised to introduce a game that combines 'brutal combat, exploration, and oppressive atmosphere.'</p>

<p>In the game, players find themselves in the ruins of a fallen civilization called the Omnistructure. They must guide their cyborg hero to survive in a world full of monstrous beings twisted by a mysterious force.</p>

Bleak Faith: Forsaken is Getting a Console Port

Manor Lords aims to provide a gridless, organic city-building experience with full freedom of placement and rotation, but utilizing snapping tools to make the planning more comfortable. This is one of my most anticipated games since it has been announced!  It is a little bit more expensive on the Switch than PC but I decided to bite the bullet.

Did it live up to my expectations?  Yes, but it has quite a bit growth to do.

It is very cute.  I also really love the writing of the characters and the story in this... except how come my owner never noticed I was gone for HOURS -- but I guess it would be so sad without that plot hole.

I love games that reward exploration and curiosity and this does do that to a reasonable extent.

It is still quite buggy though.  At least twice in the game, I had to quit and return because either the cat or the object that I needed for a fetch quest got stuck.  Thankfully, no progress was lost.

The most annoying bugs would be around jumping.  It was a bit hard to control jumping in this game, and sometimes kitty would either clip, or not jump to the desired height even though he can definitely jump that high.  Climbing is also very slow...  I expect these to be fixed in a future update.

The game is also surprisingly short.  SPOILER ALERT, you only need to get enough stamina to technically finish the game.  I still have a little bit to go before I get 100% but it's really not a long game.

I think this game definitely has room for DLC that would expand the map and add more characters to play with.  I definitely want more time with the ducklings, haha!

The main goal is to always make them feel at home. The checklists of things to do share familiar mechanics from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/moving-out/">Moving Out</a>. </p>

<p>Preparation is necessary in this managerial simulator. Before the guests arrive, players must ensure that rooms are cleaned. Activities such as vacuuming floors, arranged bedding, and more are challenges to overcome. Things must be in place otherwise guests will not hesitate to show displeasure.</p> 

<p>Additional challenges are also present once the rooms are ready. As the sole proprietor of this establishment, cooking meals is essential. Players must prepare special dishes to ensure a generous tip.</p> 

<h3>Team-Up with a Buddy</h3>

<p>The co-op feature is a much needed addition to Hotel Hustle. This two-player cooperative mode lets players work together with a friend. Things will either go smoothly or the other way around. The extra pair of hands will definitely shake things up.</p> 

<p>Players attain rewards by receiving stars. After a job well done, these stars will grant additional levels. There are a total of 25 levels that vary in difficulty. Each level has its own unique set-up and lobby design.</p> 

<p>Hotel Hustle is available now on the Nintendo Switch for $10. A special sale on the Nintendo eShop slashes the game’s price by 40%.</p>

Management Sim 'Hotel Hustle' Available Now on Nintendo Switch 

<p>A <a href="https://whatoplay.com/new/indie/">new indie game</a> just came out. And it's one for fans of the dungeon-crawler and roguelite genres.</p>

<p>Publisher Dear Villagers announced the debut of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/the-land-beneath-us/">The Land Beneath Us</a>. The indie game, which combines dungeon-crawling adventure with turn-based combat, launched on <strong>May 13</strong>.</p>

<p>It can be played on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.</p>

<p>The Land Beneath Us is developed by FairPlay Studios, an indie studio based in Thailand. Its creators promised to deliver an 'endlessly replayable experience.' The game contains not only dungeon crawling and turn-based combat elements. But also rogue-lite features.</p>

<p>In it, players find themselves in Annwn, a mythological underworld by Welsh folklore.</p>

<p>They take the shoes of a powerful robot, called the Ultimate Soul Harvester (U.S.H), tasked to the Seven Lords in Annwn. In doing so, they need to venture deep into the magical realm. Along the way, players will also have the chance to save The Creator.</p> 

<p>They need to also get their hands on soul tech, a technology that would help them uncover the mysteries in Annwn.</p>

<p>Wielding stylish weaponry and unleashing devastating skill combos, players must also overcome challenging encounters. This included fighting enemies via turn-based strategies.</p>

<p>"Enjoy challenging dynamic encounters and discover the mysteries of this mythological world," creators said.</p>

<p>In the meantime, FairPlay Studios confirmed that demo versions of The Land Beneath Us remain online even after the game's launching.</p>

<p>"Yes!!! We decided to put the demo live even after the release. If you're hesitating, try out the demo and you'll tell me that you wanna be one of the underworld dwellers forever!" they wrote on the game's Steam page.</p>

<p>The Land Beneath Us is priced at €14.99. But in celebration of its launch, its creators will be giving a limited-time discount of up to 20 percent. / ### </p>
